Switzerland's World Cup Heroes Celebrate in Zurich
Switzerland's national football team has been welcomed back to Zurich by thousands of fans after their return from the USA. The team, led by coach Murat Yakin, celebrated their successful World Cup campaign on the Turbinenplatz. „We would have liked to stay for another week. But it's nice to be welcomed like this“, said Yakin.
Big Reception for Switzerland's World Cup Heroes
The Nati was only defeated in the quarterfinals by Argentina (1:3 n.V.). „We know that more was at stake. We were mostly better than the reigning world champion“, said Yakin. „We don't have big names, but a team spirit and energy in the team. That's what makes Switzerland special“, said captain Granit Xhaka.
