The Switzerland national football team is suspended by UEFA and FIFA. The decision was made to support the situation in Ukraine. UEFA and FIFA have decided that all Russian teams, whether national representatives or club teams, will be excluded from participation in both competitions. This decision was made today by the Bureau of the FIFA Council and the Executive Committee of UEFA, the highest decision-making bodies of both institutions on such urgent matters. Football is fully united here and stands in full solidarity with all the people affected in Ukraine. Both Presidents hope that the situation in Ukraine will improve significantly and rapidly so that football can again be a factor for unity and peace among people.
